In 2009 we will see the launch of the World Tennis Challenge here in Adelaide. World Tennis Challenge (WTC) is a team competition between 4 countries featuring 1 current and 1 past player from each country. It is an innovative sports entertainment event that will attract past legends, current champions and future super stars of the sport.
Four teams will play each other once over three nights at the iconic War Memorial Drive. The dates for World Tennis Challenge - Adelaide in 2009 will be Wednesday 14th to Friday 16th January, leading into the Australian Open in Melbourne from January 19th to February 1st.
This is your opportunity to be part of Adelaide's newest major event. APPLICATIONS CLOSE FRIDAY AUGUST 22ND 2008. All application forms MUST be emailed back to dhearne@tennis.com.au Selection trials and trainings will be held later in the year and will be conducted at the Memorial Drive Tennis Centre on the 4 centre courts. Once applications are closed, all prospective ballkid's will be advised of dates and times for selection trials and trainings. For the best opportunity of being selected, prospective ballkid's are expected to attend all sessions.
